I'll defend of the lady's honor then for moment.

She apparently is very well educated. This is from 2002, and unless this was set up months ahead of time for the show it seems like a reliable source:

I fully admit I think Mrs. Sewell is a hottie, physically and especially our glimpse of her independent personality.

She might lack humility, which is very unattractive I agree, maybe too much hubris from being #1 in her world all the time. She's probably the real deal, but been in the lab/library too long and not developed her social skills. That's the price paid for that much studying for some people. (and yes, I can stereotype Elyse based on 10 minutes of footage too!)

I believe she said something along the line of "a medical career can last a lifetime, being in your twenties doesn't"..in explaining why she's doing the modeling thing. Makes good sense to me. Anyway, why can't people try and do whatever they believe they want to try?

btw, I'd say "well educated" has nothing to do with how smart a person is. There's knowing a lot of facts, and then there's being able to think. Two different things in my experience.
Maybe Elyse has both, maybe she just thinks she does.

A wise person once said: The surest sign that someone doesn't know everything is that they claim that they know everything. The more you know, the more questions are reveiled, and the more you realize you do not know.

Probably could add, "..., the more you realize everyone else, especially a house full of wanna-be-roomate-models, doesn't know."

Some people are actually naturally that skinny and due party to metabolism just never get much if any body fat especially in younger years.
I speak from experience in this regard and as a very well fed youngster.
She sure doesn't seem to be doing anything to TRY to gain weight I'll give you that!
I would not be surprised at all if this really is her natural form, and she is probably toward the very skinny side of her normal weight right now.
Wonder if she does any sports/ works out at all?

That being said, Elyse would obviously still be easy on the eyes with more weight.

Speaking of eyes, Elyses eyes are one of the first things that grab attention from where I'm sitting.

I like the fact Elyse seemed to be calling it like she saw it.
We'll see. there was a glimpse of something sneaky in her game plan when she seemed to have the attitude shift and said something about now being VERY into winning the contest.

They have given Elyse a lot of camera time at the house so far. Probably she was the only one with anything to say of editable interest.
The behavior they are showing us of the models is no doubt completely one-sided by editing, or so I hope in the case of some of these women. Some of the behavior shown was childish at best.
How do you hope to convert someone by starting out with "heathens are fools" ?
Guess that was an attempted attack at an emotional level.
These women might be rutheless or just not so bright, but probably all we're gonna find out is they are human.

Still, I'm hooked at least until Elyse is gone. At least she is an seemingly interesting human. She has my full attention.
