I always dreamed of being an astronaut when I was a kid, and seeing that just now brought that dream back to me. Is there any cooler job in the world? Or out of this world as the case may be. Let's just hope that they return safely.

The last shuttle launch that I watched live was, unfortunatly, the Space Shuttle Challenger. I think it was in 1984. I was very young, but I remember the feelings that I felt when it exploded. I was watching because of Christy McAullif (sp?), the first teacher in space. Anyway, so this one had a positive launch and I agree... And my brother is probably going to rake me over the coals since it's his baby. (mooreinspired.com/Discovery.htm --these are a few years old. At the time only Chad worked on the Shuttle, but now Charlie does too. He is an electrician and Chad is a Mechanic). He called hubby last night to remind him, but didn't call me, so i guess i can use that as an excuse. I'm so glad that it went off well though. Bob and the kids and I are going to Cape Canaveral Aug 8-12 and on the 10th we're going to see my Dad's rocket launch. Not as thrilling as the shuttle, but we're looking forward to it.
